RemoteJob Staffing is seeking a remote Remote Senior DoD Staff Writing Subject Matter Advisor (Contract & Fractional Role) ($40 - $80/hour) to help train and validate frontier AI systems through structured problem authoring, rubric design, and analytical output auditing from anywhere in the US, UK, Canada, or Australia.

Day-to-Day Impact

• Contribute to the design and review of test materials that evaluate AI capabilities in summarizing and reporting tasks typically performed by federal personnel.
• Engage in feedback cycles to refine prompts, responses, and grading rubrics based on project needs and model performance.
• Leverage back-office and communication experience to simulate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting formats familiar to federal organizations.
• Demonstrated professional or academic background in military writing, federal documentation standards, report generation and evaluation, grading rubric development, written and verbal communication, department of defense procedures.
• Strong analytical reasoning and ability to articulate complex concepts clearly in written English.
• High attention to detail when reviewing technical or domain-specific documentation.
• Self-motivated and reliable within an asynchronous remote work environment.

Essential Background & Expertise

• Working knowledge of back-office tools and processes, including the production and formatting of PowerPoint briefings, memos, Excel summaries, and related documentation.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating and providing constructive feedback on model-generated staff writing outputs.
• US-based with an understanding of federal compliance, reporting requirements, and DoD-specific terminology and workflows.
• Compensation Band: $40 - $80/hour
